Powerful Herbal Extracts Found Effective for Pain Reduction and Increased Mobility
Rainbow Light Introduces Safe, Effective, Natural Remedies to Address Both Acute and Chronic Inflammation for Immediate Relief and Long-Term Wellness
Research Supports Boswellia and Hops Extracts for Pain Reduction and Increased Mobility
Two recent clinical trials have studied proprietary concentrated extracts of Boswellia: Aflapin® and 5-Loxin®. Both were associated with a significant improvement in joint function and pain reduction in patients with osteoarthritis (Sengupta et al, 2008; Sengupta et al, 2010). Significant improvements in pain score and functional ability were recorded as early as seven days after initiation of the study in the treatment group supplemented with Aflapin®. Note: Since these studies were conducted, the Aflapin® brand name has changed to Après flex®.
Human clinical studies show that Perluxan® (a proprietary, standardized Hops extract) intake had a fast-acting effect on mean pain relief after only two hours following the first dose. By the end of the second week, it was clear that Perluxan helped relieve minor pain during normal daily activities and may have improved mobility (Jager R et al, 2010). Santa Cruz, Calif. (August 19, 2011) – Injury, surgery or damage to the body triggers acute inflammation. Pain, redness and swelling are all signs of acute, or short-term, inflammation, which is the body’s way of protecting against further harm and facilitating healing. Systemic, chronic inflammation may result from lifestyle or dietary factors, or if the body is out of balance and fails to end the inflammatory cycle. Chronic Inflammation is suspected to be an underlying cause of many illnesses from Alzheimer’s to cancer, diabetes and more. Many people are looking for safe, natural alternatives to address pain and inflammation for both short-term and extended use. Consumer interest in herbal remedies remains strong, with sales expected to exceed $93 billion by 2015, according to the new report released this year from Global Industry Analysts, Inc. To meet consumer demand for effective, research-based solutions for acute and chronic inflammation, Rainbow Light® will introduce two new remedies this October: TheraMend™ Recovery and TheraMend™ COX-2 Flex.
TheraMend Recovery addresses acute inflammation resulting from injury or damage to the body, supporting the natural healing process and mobility with a highly concentrated herbal extract of white willow, studied and traditionally used for soreness, plus a patented curcumin extract (Meriva®) and boswellia extract that work to inhibit inflammation and cartilage damage. TheraMend Recovery uniquely provides proteolytic enzymes that digest excess fibrin, support cellular repair and promote a healthy inflammation response.
TheraMend COX-2 Flex provides long-term support for chronic inflammation by easing soreness, supporting connective tissue restoration and promoting a healthy inflammation response. TheraMend COX-2 Flex delivers standardized botanical extracts of hops (Perluxan®) and boswellia (Après flex®), plus absorption-enhanced curcumin (Meriva®), all studied for their targeted effects on reducing pro-inflammatory markers found in the joints, skin, gastro-intestinal tract and throughout the body. TheraMend COX-2 Flex provides an advanced, targeted formula that supports optimal range of motion and enhances daily well-being.
