Sustainability
At Rainbow Light, we are committed to maintaining a healthy environment, reducing carbon emissions and keeping plastic bottles from ending up in our oceans, natural habitats and landfills.
We are the first supplement brand to use Eco•Guard® bottles made from 100% recycled, 100% recyclable material. These bottles are FDA-approved and BPA-free. By reusing post-consumer plastic, we reduce the need for virgin plastic that requires fossil fuel to produce. In 2010, we were awarded the Green Packaging award from Whole Foods Markets in recognition of our sustainability initiatives.
Eco•Guard bottles have reduced our bottle carbon footprint by 92% and keep millions of plastic bottles from landfills annually.
Plant A Fish
Rainbow Light has committed to save 20,000 endangered sea turtles this year by donating a portion of the proceeds from its ocean derived nutritional supplements to famed ocean explorer Fabien Cousteau’s Plant A Fish initative.
All of our Omega Performance supplements are produced using wild caught non-endangered small fish sourced from the deep, pure, cold waters in Peru, the world's No. 1 ranked fishery ecosystem.
“Without partners like Rainbow Light, this initiative would not be possible,” says Cousteau. “When companies step up to the environmental challenges we face with our oceans there is hope for a huge impact.”
Save Our Shores
In cooperation with Save Our Shores, Rainbow Light has adopted Woodrow Beach in Santa Cruz County, California, as part of our environmental stewardship initiative. Through monetary donations and regularly scheduled beach clean-up events, we are committed to protecting our marine environment and the health of the planet.
Save Our Shores is a non-profit marine conservation organization with a mission to care for the marine environment through ocean awareness, advocacy and citizen action.
